Nestled in the St. Francois Mountains in Southeast Missouri, Arcadia Valley is one of Missouri's hidden gems. Born from long extinct volcanoes, the valley sits in the midst of three ancient calderas: Butler Hill, Taum Sauk and Hawn Peak. Geology students from across the country visit the valley every year to observe the unique rock structures and geologic history that is part of the area. Battle Of Pilot Knob State Historic Site

Johnson's Shut-ins State Park
Come swim in the cool waters of the Black River, as it meanders through ancient volcanic rocks. Visit the new Visitor's Center and learn about the park's history.
Taum Sauk Mountain State Park
Make sure you visit the highest point in Missouri while here. Enjoy a panoramic view of the valley from the Fire Tower.

Where We Are
Arcadia Valley is a short 80 miles southwest of St. Louis. Interstate 55 South to Highway 67 to Hwy 221 and you're there! The region is anchored by the cities of Pilot Knob, Ironton and Arcadia.
Amtrak
From Chicago to San Antonio, riders can exit the train at our station and enjoy all that Arcadia Valley has to offer.
Bicycle
Seriously, you can ride your bike. U.S. Bicycle Route 76 (aka, Transamerica Bike Route) runs through the heart of Arcadia Valley.
