Riders are responsible for maintaining and ensuring their gear is in full working order. It is recommended for bikes to have a minimum of 130mm front travel and 2.1 tire width to ride trails on Shepherd Mountain. Riders should perform a bolt check, and check suspension and tire pressure prior to commencing each ride. Basic repair equipment such as spare tube, pump, repair kit, tire levers and multi tool should be carried by every rider.

It is strongly suggested you have your cell phone with you, especially if there are not many riders at the park.  In case you are injured, you should be able to dial 911 or the appropriate number for assistance.
